Easy Fudge

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cups Milk
  • 1/2 cups Butter (See Note)
  • 1/2 cups Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 cups Packed Brown Sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoons Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 2 cups Powdered Sugar
  • 1/2 cups Nuts (optional)
  • 1/2 cups Peanut Butter *(SEE BELOW)
  • 1/2 cups Cocoa *(SEE BELOW)

Directions

    Mix the milk, butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and salt in a pan. Cook on medium heat until boiling. Boil exactly 6 minutes, stirring constantly.

    Remove pan from heat and add vanilla and powdered sugar. Beat with mixer or whisk until smooth and thick. Add nuts, if desired.

    Pour onto a buttered pan and put in the freezer for approximately 20 minutes. Cut and serve. Store leftovers in the refrigerator.

    Makes about 1 pound of fudge.

    *Peanut Butter Fudge

    Reduce the butter to 1/4 cup and add 1/2 cup peanut butter.

    Use basic recipe without peanut butter and add 1/2 cup cocoa with the powdered sugar.
