Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons fat drippings
  • 2 cups water or 2 cups broth or 2 cups bouillon
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 14 cup cold water
  • 14 teaspoon salt (to taste)
  • 14 teaspoon pepper (to taste)

Directions

    In pan with 2 T. fat drippings, add 2c water or broth.

    Cook over medium heat, stirring to loosen browned bits.

    Remove from heat.

    Mix 2 Tbsp cornstarch and 1/4c.

    cold water till smooth.

    Stir into pan.

    Add desired seasonings, stirring constantly, bringing to a boil over medium heat and boil for 1 minute.
