- 1 1/2 c. warm water
- 1 1/2 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 4 to 4 1/2 c. flour
Directions

1In large bowl combine water, yeast, sugar and salt.* Gradually add flour to form a stiff dough.

2Place in a greased bowl and cover.

3Let rise until double in size, 1 to 1 1/2 hours.

4Toss on floured board, divide in half, shape into 2 loaves.

5Grease pans and sprinkle with cornmeal.

6Place in the dough and let rise 45 to 60 minutes.

7Brush with beaten egg white all over the top, and sprinkle with sesame or poppy seed.
