Easy Icebox Rolls

Ingredients
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 3 Tbsp. warm water
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 c. lukewarm water
- 4 c. all-purpose flour
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water and set aside.

2Beat eggs in large bowl.

3Add yeast mixture.

4Add flour, 1 cup at a time, mixing well after each addition.

5Cover dough with waxed paper and refrigerate overnight (or at least 4 hours).

6Two or three hours before baking, take out dough and knead for 3 minutes.

7Roll out for dinner rolls.

8Cut out with biscuit cutter.

9Grease center of circle with table knife.

10Put a tiny dot of butter in center of crease and fold over for pocketbook rolls; let rise.

11Bake at 400° for 10 minutes.

12Makes 24 rolls.
