Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 1/2 c. dark brown sugar
  • 3 c. cake flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. allspice
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 c. jam
  • 1 c. chopped nuts

Directions

    Place all but last 2 ingredients in a large mixing bowl and beat thoroughly.

    Fold in jam and nuts.

    Place in a greased and floured tube cake pan.

    Bake 1 hour at 300°.

    Cool to warm and frost with Caramel Frosting.
