Ingredients
- 2 lb. elk or deer meat (round steak works well)
- 1/4 c. soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp. liquid smoke
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 tsp. seasoned salt
Directions

1Combine all ingredients, except meat, in a large covered bowl and set aside.

2Trim meat to remove fat and slice into strips 1/8-inch thick.

3Mix meat with marinade.

4Cover and refrigerate overnight.

5Remove racks from oven and preheat to lowest possible setting, 150° to 175°.

6Spray oven racks with cooking spray and lay meat strips directly on racks.

7Foil in the bottom of oven may be helpful to catch drips.

8Place racks with meat in oven and leave oven door cracked open to provide air flow over meat.

9Allow meat to dry in oven for 4 to 6 hours.
