Easy Kid'S Taco-Mac

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground turkey
  • 1 (1.25 oz.) pkg. Lawry's taco seasonings
  • 1 (14 1/2 oz.) can whole tomatoes (undrained), cut up
  • 1 c. water
  • 8 oz. dry macaroni
  • 1/2 c. sliced celery
  • 1 (8 1/2 oz.) pkg. corn muffin mix
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 c. milk

Directions

    In medium skillet, brown ground turkey until crumbly.

    Blend in taco spices and seasonings, tomatoes, water, pasta and celery. Bring to a boil.

    Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20 minutes. In medium bowl, combine corn muffin mix, egg and milk; stir with fork just to mix.

    Place meat mixture in a 2 1/2-quart casserole dish.

    Spoon dollops of corn muffin mix on top.

    Bake in a 400° oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until golden.

    Makes 6 to 8 servings.

    Sprinkle with grated cheese.
