Easy Onion Chicken

7 ingredients
6 steps

Ingredients

  • 1 (2 ounce) bag onion soup mix
  • 1 12 cups flour
  • 1 cup milk (roughly)
  • 12 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 12 teaspoon pepper
  • extra virgin olive oil (Enough to be 1/4 inch deep in whatever pan you're using)
  • 4 -6 pieces boneless chicken, 1/2 inch thick

Directions

  1. 1
Mix the dehydrated soup mixture with the flour, garlic salt, and pepper.
  2. 2
Heat the olive oil on medium until when the handle of a wooden spoon inserted into it, bubbles appear around the handle in the olive oil.
  3. 3
Dip the chicken into the milk, then the flour mixture.
  4. 4
For a thicker breading I sometimes dip it in the milk, then flour again, but it's good either way.
  5. 5
Set the chicken into the pan and cook until brown on either side and cooked through.
  6. 6
You can substitute the olive oil for your favorite oil, but I tend to favor evoo because I like how it fries things up :).
