- 1 1/2 lb. beef stew meat
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. basil
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 stalks celery, chopped
- 4 carrots, sliced
- 2 onions, chopped
- 1/4 c. frozen peas
- 1 can tomato soup
- 1/2 can water
- 3 potatoes, peeled and cubed
Directions

1Place beef in a 3-quart casserole dish. Sprinkle with salt, basil and pepper.

2Top with celery, carrots, potatoes, onions and peas.

3Combine soup and water.

4Pour over meat and vegetables, coating all pieces. Cover tightly and bake at 300° for 3 hours. Makes its own gravy.

5This recipe can be doubled or tripled for a larger amount.
