  • 2 lb. cut up beef
  • 1/4 c. flour, with 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. paprika
  • 2 Tbsp. Wesson oil
  • 4 small onions, quartered
  • 4 small potatoes, halved
  • 4 small carrots, in 1-inch pieces
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce

Directions

    Combine flour, salt, pepper and paprika in a paper bag.

    Drop in beef. Shake until coated.

    Mix with Wesson oil in 3-quart casserole. Bake, uncovered, at 400° for 30 minutes.

    Stir 1 time. Add vegetables, water and tomato sauce.

    Mix, cover and bake at 350° for 1 3/4 hours.
