- 3/4 lb. boneless beef round steak, cubed
- 1 Tbsp. cooking oil
- 4 medium potatoes, cut in 1-inch cubes
- 5 medium carrots, cut into chunks
- 1 celery rib, cut in 1-inch chunks
- 1 large onion, cut in 1-inch chunks
- 1 can chunky stewed tomatoes
- 3 Tbsp. quick cooking tapioca
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 c. frozen peas
Directions

1In a Dutch oven, brown the steak in oil.

2Add the next 8 ingredients; cover and bake at 300° for 4 to 5 hours, stirring twice.

3Add the peas during the last 30 minutes of cooking time. This is a good recipe for a busy day.
