- 3 sticks margarine, softened
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 4 c. sifted self-rising flour
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 1 1/2 c. pecans, chopped
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. butter flavoring
Directions

1Cream margarine and sugars.

2Add 1 cup flour and 1 well beaten egg.

3Add 2 cups flour, 1 more well beaten egg and then 1 more cup flour.

4Mix well and stir in pecans.

5Divide dough into 3 parts.

6Roll in logs and wrap in wax paper.

7Allow to cool in refrigerator for 2 hours.

8Slice and place on a cookie sheet. Bake at 300° until cookies are light brown.
