- 1 1/2 c. butter (3 sticks Land O Lakes butter at room temperature)
- 3 c. sugar
- 5 eggs
- 1 c. milk
- 3 c. Swans Down cake flour, sifted
- 1 Tbsp. lemon flavor or flavor of your choice
Directions

1Put all ingredients into a mixing bowl.

2Use an electric mixer.

3Beat mixture until very smooth.

4Pour into a round cake pan.

5Place in cold oven.

6Turn heat to 325°.

7Bake about 2 hours or until done.

8Use thin knife to test if cake is done.
