- 1/4 c. soft shortening
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 egg
- 5 1/2 to 7 c. sifted flour
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water; stir in sugar and shortening. With spoon, mix in sifted flour until dough is easy to handle. Keep dough soft, almost sticky.
