Ingredients

  • 1 (9 oz.) Jiffy cake mix (white)
  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/4 c. warm water
  • 2 1/2 c. flour (3 c. can be used)
  • 1 egg, well beaten

Directions

    Mix cake mix and dry yeast.

    Combine with salt, egg, warm water and 2 1/2 to 3 cups flour.

    Mix to make a soft dough. Knead; let rise 1 hour in a warm place.

    Punch down.

    Make into rolls.

    Place in a greased 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Brush with melted oleo.

    Let rise 2 or 3 hours.

    Bake at 400° for 15 to 20 minutes. Makes a dozen or so rolls.
