  • 3 1/2 c. self-rising flour
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1/4 c. lukewarm water
  • 1 c. buttermilk (lukewarm)
  • 4 tsp. oil

Directions

    Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup warm water.

    Put flour in large bowl and add rest of ingredients.

    Knead and roll out to about 1/4-inch and cut with biscuit cutter.

    Dip in melted butter and fold.

    Let rise 45 minutes and bake at 450° until brown.
