Ingredients
- 1 (10 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup, divided
- 1/3 c. dry bread crumbs
- 1/4 c. sweet onion, finely chopped
- 1 1/2 c. fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 1 lb. lean chopped beef
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1/4 c. green pepper, finely chopped
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1In a large bowl, mix 1/4 cup of the soup, beef, bread crumbs, egg, onions and peppers.

2Shape into 6 patties.

3In a large skillet over medium heat, cook patties until brown on both sides. Spoon off all fat.

4Stir in remaining soup and the fresh mushrooms; add salt and pepper.

5Return patties to skillet and reduce heat to low.

6Cover and simmer until done, turning patties occasionally (about 20 minutes).
