Easy Sausage Roll

- 1 pkg. frozen puff pastry
- 1 pkg. bulk sausage
- beaten egg or milk
Directions

1Defrost pastry according to directions.

2Roll onto a floured surface and cut into a strip approximately 3-inches wide.

3Roll the sausage meat with floured hands into a long thin sausage (the same length as the pastry strip).

4Place on the pastry near the edge.

5Roll up the pastry to enclose the meat.

6Dampen the long edges with water and seal well.
-
7Cut the roll into 2 1/2-inch pieces and place on cookie sheet.

8Neaten shapes and brush with beaten egg or milk.

9Make 3 diagonal slits in the top.

10Bake at 400° for about 20 minutes or until golden.

11Serve hot or cold.
