  • 3 c. sugar
  • 3 c. all-purpose flour
  • 3 sticks butter
  • 8 eggs
  • 1 tsp. almond or lemon extract

    Cream butter.

    Add sugar slowly, beating constantly to cream well.

    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add flour mixture, 1/2 cup at a time, beating well and constantly. Stir in almond extract.

    Turn batter into well-greased and floured 10-inch tube pan.

    Bake at 325° for an hour and a half, or until cake is done.

    Cool and serve.
