Ingredients
- 1 c. pecan halves
- 24 sq. light caramels
- 1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 tsp. vegetable oil
Directions

1Preheat oven to 325°.

2Line a baking sheet with foil.

3Grease foil well.

4Arrange pecans in clusters of 4, flat sides down, 1/2-inch apart.

5Place 1 caramel on top of each cluster, pressing into pecans to flatten slightly and hold pecans together.

6Place in oven; bake for 5 to 7 minutes, until caramels are soft.

7Remove from oven; carefully flatten each caramel with a flat, buttered knife.

8In a 1-cup glass measure, combine chocolate chips and oil. Heat in microwave on High 45 to 60 seconds, until smooth.

9Spoon chocolate over Turtles, until covered.

10Refrigerate 1 hour, until set.

11Store and serve at room temperature.

12Yields 2 dozen Turtles.
