  • 6 to 8 thick loin chops
  • salt and pepper
  • white dinner wine
  • onions, quartered
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped

    Trim excess fat from pork chops.

    Brown chops in heavy skillet. Season with salt and pepper.

    Add white dinner wine to half cover the meat.

    Arrange quartered onions around chops and sprinkle with chopped garlic.

    Bake in a moderate oven (350°) for about 1 hour or until meat is fork-tender.
