  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1 c. lukewarm water
  • 3 c. plain flour
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 c. melted shortening

Directions

    Dissolve yeast in warm water.

    Combine other ingredients.

    Add yeast and mix well.

    Let rise until double in bulk (about 1 hour). Knead on floured board.
