- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1 c. lukewarm water
- 3 c. plain flour
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 c. melted shortening
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water.

2Combine other ingredients.

3Add yeast and mix well.

4Let rise until double in bulk (about 1 hour). Knead on floured board.

5Make desired shape and allow to rise again (about 1 hour).

6Bake at 375° until brown.
