Ingredients

  • 1 c. water
  • 1/2 c. butter (no substitutes)
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. all-purpose flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
  • 2 (3.4 oz.) pkg. instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 3 c. cold milk
  • 1 (12 oz.) carton frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • chocolate syrup

Directions

    In a saucepan over medium heat, bring water, butter and salt to a boil.

    Add flour all at once; stir until smooth ball forms. Remove from heat; let stand for 5 minutes.

    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well with a wooden spoon after each addition.

    Beat until smooth.

    Spread into a greased 13 x 9 x 2 baking pan.

    Bake at 400° for 30 to 35 minutes or until puffed and golden brown. Cool completely on a wire rack.
