- 10 oz. self-rising flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 oz. butter
- 1/2 c. currants
- 1 egg
- milk
Directions

1Mix together dry ingredients, then rub in butter and add fruit. Combine egg and milk and add to dry mixture to form a soft dough. Knead on a lightly floured board.

2Roll out and cut into 1/2-inch thick rounds.

3Bake in the oven at 450° for 10 minutes.
