- 4 c. day old bread
- 2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
- 10 eggs, lightly beaten
- 4 c. milk
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. onion powder
- 10 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
Directions

1Butter 9 x 13-inch baking dish.

2Lay pieces of bread along bottom and sprinkle with cheese.

3Beat remaining ingredients, except for bacon.

4Pour over cheese and bread.

5Sprinkle with bacon.

6Bake, uncovered, at 325° for 1 hour.

7Towards ends of hour, cover with foil if browning too much.

8Done when knife inserted comes out clean.

9Dish may be covered and chilled up to 24 hours before cooking.
