- 7 slices bread
- 8 oz. shredded cheddar cheese
- 6 eggs
- 3 cups milk (you may use cream or half and half)
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
- 3 strips crisp bacon cut in half
- 6 strips of crisp, crumbled bacon for topping
Directions

1Trim crust from bread.

2Tear bread into pieces.

3Mix with shredded cheese.

4Spread in a 7 1/2 X 12 inch greased baking dish alternating with strips of bacon.

5Beat eggs with milk.

6Stir in salt, pepper, mustard and cream of tartar.

7Pour over bread and cheese mixture.

8Sprinkle with crumbled bacon.

9Refrigerate overnight.

10Back uncovered for 50 to 60 minutes at 350 degrees.
