  • 3 c. milk
  • 6 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • pinch of salt

Directions

    Scald the milk.

    Mix together the eggs, sugar, vanilla and salt.

    Stir milk gradually into egg mixture.

    Pour into prepared 9-inch pie shell.

    Bake at 450° for 10 minutes.

    Reduce heat to 350° and bake about 30 minutes, or until a knife inserted into center comes out clean.

    Cool before serving.
