- 3 eggs
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3/4 c. sugar
Directions

1Melt butter, add milk, and beat over fire until scalding. Beat eggs slightly.

2Add sugar and vanilla.

3Brush crust with unbeaten egg whites.

4Add milk to mixture and stir.

5Strain into 9-inch pie crust.

6Bake at 450° for 10 minutes.

7Turn control to 375° and bake 10 minutes longer.
