- 3 eggs
- 3 c. sugar
- 4 1/2 c. milk
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Melt butter; add milk.

2Heat to scalding.

3Beat eggs slightly; add sugar and vanilla and swirl into milk.

4Strain into a 9-inch pastry lined pan.

5Sprinkle with nutmeg.

6Bake at 470° for 10 minutes, then at 375° for 10 minutes.

7(Brush crust with unbeaten egg white before adding custard mix.)
