- 5 c. sifted flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 c. lard
- cold water
- 4 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 2 egg yolks
Directions

1Combine dry ingredients and cut in lard.

2Place egg yolk in measuring cup and stir with fork until smooth.

3Blend in enough cold water to make a scant cup full.

4Sprinkle gradually over dry ingredients, toss with a fork to make a soft dough and roll out as usual. Makes pastry for three 9-inch (2 crust) pies.
