  • 1 tsp. cloves, cinnamon and allspice
  • 1 lb. raisins
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. walnuts
  • 2 1/4 c. hot applesauce
  • 4 level tsp. soda
  • 3 c. flour

    Cream sugar, butter and spices.

    Add raisins, nuts and soda last.

    Beat in flour.

    Bake in a slow oven at 350° for 35 minutes. Ice when cool, or is very good uniced.
