Eggnog Bread

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 1/4 c. eggnog
  • 1/3 c. oil
  • 1/2 c. chopped cherries
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts

Directions

    Sift together and stir flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. In small bowl, beat egg.

    Add eggnog and oil, then stir into flour mixture.

    Mix well.

    Fold in the cherries and nuts.

    Pour into two well-greased loaf pans (I use Baker's Joy).

    Bake at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes.

    Cool in pan 10 minutes, then remove to finish cooling.
