- 1 cup butter, room temperature
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup eggnog
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Topping
- 1 1/4 cups pecans, broken
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

2Butter 9 inch fluted or plain tube pan.

3In large bowl of electric mixer, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

4Beat in eggs, eggnog, and vanilla.

5Stir together flour, bakng powder, and salt.

6Gradually beat into butter mixture.

7Prepare topping by combining nuts, sugar and cinnamon.

8Scatter half the topping evenly over bottom of pan.

9Spoon in half batter.

10Add remaining topping and spoon on remaining batter.

11Bake 50 to 60 minute, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

12Cool 15 minutes before removing from pan.
