- 1/2 c. cold water
- 1 Tbsp. gelatin
- 4 egg yolks
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. hot water
- 4 egg whites, beaten
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- rum (if desired)
Directions

1Sprinkle gelatin over cold water and set aside.

2Beat egg yolks.

3Add sugar, salt and hot water.

4Cook and stir in double boiler until thickened.

5Pour over gelatin and mix well.

6Combine beaten egg whites, sugar and nutmeg.

7Fold egg yolk mixture into egg white mixture.

8Add rum, if desired.

9Pour into 9-inch baked crust.

10Chill.

11Serve with whipped cream on top.

12Sprinkle with nutmeg.
