- 1/2 c. slivered almonds
- 1 pkg. yellow cake mix
- 1 1/2 c. eggnog
- 2 eggs, separated
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine, melted
- 2 Tbsp. rum or 1/4 tsp. rum flavoring
- 1/8 tsp. nutmeg
Directions

1Generously grease a 10-inch Bundt pan with soft butter.

2Press almonds against buttered sides and bottom; set pan aside.

3Combine cake mix, nutmeg, egg yolks, eggnog, melted butter and rum in large mixing bowl until blended.

4Beat egg whites separately until stiff but not dry.

5Carefully fold batter into whites.
