- 2 sticks butter
- 1 lb. ham (16 slices)
- 16 oz. sharp Cheddar cheese slices
- 3 c. milk
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 16 slices very thin bread
- Bacon Thins (crackers)
- 6 eggs
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
Directions

1Butter a 3-quart Pyrex dish.

2Remove crust and butter both sides of 8 slices very thin bread.

3Layer 8 slices ham, then 8 slices cheese.

4Repeat with same second layer.

5Then beat eggs, milk, salt and dry mustard.

6Pour over casserole.

7Refrigerate 24 hours (or freeze for several weeks).

8One hour before cooking, saute 1 cup crushed Bacon Thins in 1 stick butter.

9Sprinkle over top of egg dish.

10Bake 1 hour at 350°.

11Let cool 15 minutes before serving.
