- 1 c. warm water (105~ to 115~)
- 1 pkg. Fleischmann's active dry yeast
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 1/4 c. Gold Medal flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 egg
- 1 Tbsp. margarine or shortening
Directions

1Measure warm water into a large warm bowl.

2Sprinkle in yeast. Stir until dissolved.

3Stir in sugar, salt and half the flour. Beat with a spoon until smooth.

4Add egg and margarine.

5Beat in rest of flour until smooth.

6Scrape down sides of bowl; cover.

7Let rise in warm place until double in bulk, about 30 minutes.

8Stir down dough and spoon into 12 large greased muffin cups, filling to 1/2 full.

9Again let rise to top of muffin cups (20 to 30 minutes). Bake at 400° for 15 minutes or until done.

10Makes 12 buns.
