  • 1 large elephant
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 12 sacks of flour
  • 2 rabbits (optional)
  • approximately 4,000 toothpicks

Directions

    Kill, clean and cut elephant into small cubes (this will take approximately 2 months).

    Put in large kettles and simmer over kerosene heat at 465° until tender (this will take approximately 14 weeks).

    Remove meat and set aside.

    Use flour and make gravy from stock in the pots.

    Place a toothpick in each cube of meat and arrange on large platters.
  6. 6
    Pour up gravy into bowls and serve on the side (for dipping).
