- 1 large elephant
- brown gravy
- salt and pepper to taste
- 25 bushels mushrooms (fresh)
- 6 1/2 bushels American onions, cut in squares
- 17 bushels celery, diced
- 2 rabbits (optional)
- 7 1/2 gal. whale oil
Directions

1Cut elephant into bite size pieces.

2This should take about 2 months.

3Add brown gravy and simmer.

4Add salt and pepper to taste.

5Heat whale oil to brown mushrooms, celery and onions.

6Mix all ingredients and cook over kerosene fire for 4 weeks at 465°. Yield:
