Ingredients
- 1/2 c. scalded milk
- 2 Tbsp. shortening
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1/4 c. lukewarm water
- 1 egg
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. cinnamon
- melted butter
Directions

1Combine scalded milk, 1/4 cup sugar, salt and shortening.

2Cool to lukewarm.

3Soften yeast in lukewarm water.

4Add to first mixture.

5Stir in egg.

6Add flour; work until smooth.

7Put dough on floured board; let rest 10 minutes.

8Mix together sugar and cinnamon.

9Roll dough out into rectangular shape; brush with butter.

10Sprinkle with some of the cinnamon sugar mixture.

11Roll and cut slices 1-inch thick.

12Put a generous amount of sugar on board.

13Roll each slice until flat, 5 to 6-inch circle.

14Put on greased baking sheet and let rise 30 minutes.

15Bake at 300° for 12 minutes.
