Directions

   Mix sugar, corn syrup and water; place in boiler over slow heat.

   Stir only until sugar is dissolved.

   Cook to hard ball stage.

   Beat egg whites until stiff.

   Add syrup slowly, still beating.

   Add vanilla.

   Beat until mixture thickens.

   Add nuts, coconut and colored cherries (optional).
