  • 4 cup vegetable oil for frying
  • 2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 1/3 cup cold water
  • 1 cup queso fresco , grated
  • 1/4 cup scallions cut into thin strips
  • 2 tbsp cilantro cut ver thin strips
  • 1 all purpose flour to knead & salt to tAste
  • 1 tsp baking powder

    combine flour salt & baking powder

    slowly add butter and cold water until dough is formed

    knead dough for a few mins .. then wrap dough & allow to rest for 15mins

    combine quest fresco stallion & cilantro mix well

    make 2 inch balls outta dough .. spread dough until 3 inchs .. stuff one side turn other side over pinch ends .. deep fry or over stove top until golden brown ..

    drain on paper towels .. serve with Spanish rice & enjoy
