  • turkey, chicken, roast beef
  • 4 c. chicken or beef broth
  • 3 to 4 Tbsp. chili powder
  • fresh garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 tsp. each salt and cumin
  • medium or large minced onion
  • minced tomatoes

Directions

    Melt some bacon grease (3 tablespoons) and add 2 tablespoons flour.

    Mix in broth a little at a time to prevent lumps. Add all other ingredients.

    Mix in 2 tablespoons cornstarch (mixed with a little water) to thicken to gravy like consistency. Boil (simmer) for 10 to 15 minutes.
