- 8 oz. flour
- 2 oz. butter or margarine
- 1 oz. sugar
- 2 oz. sultanas (raisins)
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- a little milk
Directions

1Rub the butter and flour until they resemble fine bread crumbs. Stir in the baking powder, sugar and sultanas.

2Add the milk to make a sticky dough and turn onto a floured surface.

3Knead gently, then roll flat (about 1-inch thick) and cut out circles.

4Place on floured baking tray.

5Brush with milk.

6Bake at 220°C for 10 to 20 minutes.

7Spread with butter and jam to taste.
