- 3/4 c. butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. flour
- 1 c. finely ground almonds
- 1/2 c. seedless raspberry jam
- 3 Tbsp. confectioners sugar
Directions

1Beat butter, sugar, egg and vanilla until light and fluffy. Add flour and almonds, mixing well.

2Spoon half the mixture into greased 9-inch square pan.

3Spread evenly.

4Spread jam over cookie batter.

5Roll remaining batter on lightly floured board to just 9 x 9-inch square.

6Cut in four quarters and, with spatula, place on top of jam.

7Bake in 350° oven for 40 to 45 minutes. Remove to cooling rack and sift confectioners sugar over top. Cool.

8Cut into 36 squares.
