- 1 lb. butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups slivered almonds
- 8-oz. Hershey bar
- 1 cup ground almonds
Directions

1Melt butter at 250 degrees.

2Add sugar and slivered almonds. Stir with a wooden spoon while sugar melts and blends with butter. Slowly turn up heat.

3Cook until caramel in color (30-40 minutes).

4If butter separates, continue cooking.

5Pour into jelly roll pan (extremely hot).

6Break up 1/2 Hershey bar and spread on top of hot toffee.

7Sprinkle with 1/2 ground almonds.

8Set until cold.

9Turn over on waxed paper and spread other side with 1/2 Hershey bar (melt in microwave).

10Top with ground almonds.

11Break into bite-sized pieces.
