- 1 lb. butter
- 2 c. chopped nuts
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate bits or several Hershey bars
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
Directions

1Melt butter.

2Add sugar. Stir until blended. Add 1 1/2 cups nuts. Stir/cook until pulls away from sides of pan.

3Add cream of tartar. Stir vigorously. Cook until pinkish tan color.

4Pour onto buttered cookie sheet. Sprinkle chocolate. Spread when melted. Sprinkle 1/2 cup nuts on top.
