Escalloped Pineapple

  • 1 (20 oz.) can tidbit pineapple, drained (reserve juice)
  • 4 c. French bread, broken into pieces
  • 3 large eggs, whipped
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 stick butter, melted (not margarine)

Directions

    Put pineapple into a baking dish.

    Pat bread pieces over pineapple.

    Mix eggs, sugar and butter; beat until light and fluffy.

    Add 1/2 the pineapple juice to the egg mixture.

    Pour over top of bread pieces.

    Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.

    Serve hot or cold.
