  • 1 lemongrass stalk, halved crosswisebottom half smashed, top half reserved for garnish
  • Ice
  • 1 2/3 ounces Cognac
  • 2/3 ounce St-Germain elderflower liqueur
  • 2/3 ounce fresh lemon juice
  • 2 basil leaves, smacked

Directions

    Gently rub the inside of a chilled martini glass with the smashed lemongrass and discard.

    Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
  3. 3
    Add all of the remaining ingredients except the garnish and shake well.
  4. 4
    Strain into the prepared martini glass and garnish with the lemongrass top.
