- 6 c. flour
- 7 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 2 Tbsp. caraway seed
- 2 c. raisins
- 2 eggs
- 3 1/2 to 4 c. milk
Directions

1Sift together the dry ingredients.

2Cut in margarine with pastry blender.

3Stir in caraway seed and raisins.

4Add eggs and milk, stirring until well moistened.

5The mixture will be quite thin.

6Pour into two greased 9 x 5-inch loaf tins.

7Bake at 350° for 1 1/4 hours.

8Turn out loaves on cooling rack.

9Butter tops and sprinkle with sugar while warm.

10It is best served warm. Freezes well.
